VISAKHAPATNAM: Central Board for Workers' Education's two-day training classes on "workers' development" began at the BHPV on Tuesday. Deputy general manager (Production) M.V. Subba Rao who inaugurated the classes, said such a programme would help improve productivity.
Productivity
The Board's education officer Raghupathi Rao said that improving the productivity had become imperative in view of the increased competitiveness unleashed by the forces of globalisation. Deputy general manager (Human Resources) D.V.S. Murthy said that during the last few years, the organisation had helped improve understanding of workers on several issues by its training. The knowledge should be used for personality and institutional development. Deputy manager (Training) K. Appa Rao welcomed the gathering. Ch. Munibabu and G. Dhanaraju, president and general secretary of recognised union BHPV Mazdoor Sangh and deputy training officer P. Sampath Kumar spoke.
