Villagers urged to apply for pensions

KURNOOL: Addressing the Praja Patham meeting at Alluru near Nandikotkur in Kurnool district on Tuesday, Minister for Commercial Taxes Konatala Ramakrishna asked the villagers to apply for pensions if anybody was left out. He promised an amount of Rs 5 lakhs for drainage improvement in the village.

Legislator Gouru Charita Reddy said a summer storage tank was being constructed at a cost of Rs 12 crores at Nandikotkur, which would act as a source for Alluru village too. Collector M. Dana Kishore said Praja Patham programme was being conducted in peak summer to assess the gravity of the water problem and attend to it immediately. The Minister opened the CC road and veterinary hospital
