Council re-poll tomorrow

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: As many as 52 polling stations of the Local Authorities Constituencies of the Legislative Council in eight districts will go for re-poll on Wednesday.

An election official here has said all arrangements have been made for the re-poll, which has been ordered by the Election Commission following complaints of malpractices involving top Congress leaders.

Counting of votes polled in these booths and at other polling stations in 10 other districts (during polling on March 17) will be taken up from 8 a.m. on April 27.

As such, the fate of candidates in 23 constituencies will be known that day.
