KOLLAM: A four-year-old girl, Ganga, and her 18-month-old brother, Sabari, were hacked by their father. The incident occurred at 2 p.m. on Monday at Neeleshwaram, near here, while their mother had gone to a temple in the city. Sivaprasad admitted them to a private hospital here after hacking the children.
Arrested
The Kollam East police arrested him at the hospital. Sivaprasad is an employee with the Kerala Water Authority at Punalur. The police said Sivaprasad was a deranged and was under psychiatric treatment. Doctors attending on the children said Ganga's condition was critical. The Kollam East Police has registered a case.
