Yagam enters eighth day

Staff Reporter

KANNUR: Thousands of devotees took part in various rituals being held in connection with the 15-day long `Siddhivinayaka Mahayagam' at Chirakkal. The `yagam' entered the eighth day on Tuesday.

The `yagam,' being conducted at Chirakkal Raja's High School ground, has been witnessing a huge turnout of devotees. Organisers said people thronged the venue to witness the `Mahasudarshana homam.' The `Mahayagam' for world peace is being organised by the Siddhivinayaka Mahayagam Trust. Vedic scholars, headed by Vinayaka Chandra Deekshithar, led the rituals.
