State urged to suspend those not participating in the programme

Hyderabad:
Khairatabad MLA, P. Janardhan Reddy, has called for suspension of officials not taking part in the Praja Patham programme. In a letter addressed to Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, he said in spite of clear instructions several officials were staying away from the programme and taking Praja Patham in a casual way.
He visited Borabanda as part of the second round of Praja Patham programme which commenced on Tuesday. But he found P.V. Mohana Krishna, Additional Divisional Engineer, APCPDCL, Sanathangar, coming late. When asked the officials said he had to take his children to school. This spoke about the casual way officials treated the programme for which the chief minister was giving top priority, Mr. Reddy said. In Serilingampally area Assistant Civil Supplies Officer, Medical and Health Officer of PHC, Assistant Social Welfare Officer and Assistant Engineer, Housing, did not turn up, he said.
