TUs' meet on April 26

The Government's move will affect the livelihood of lakhs of beedi workers

HYDERABAD: The Centre for Indian Trade Unions (CITU) has called for a convention on April 26 here in the State Capital to discuss threadbare the impact of the Government making it mandatory for beedi packets to carry a picture of skull and crossbones as a statutory warning. At a press conference here on Monday, CITU State president R. Sudhabhaskar and secretary M. Saibaba said a resolution to this effect was passed at CITU's three-day State council meeting held recently at Srikakulam.

Mr. Sudhabhaskar said the Govern- ment's move would affect the livelihood of lakhs of beedi workers and others dependent on the industry.
