PUDUCHERRY: The Government will constitute a committee to regularise the fee structure in private schools here. Education Minister M.O.H. F Shahjahan announced this while responding to a query by the AIADMK Member A. Anbalagan that the private schools did not follow any norms. The Minister said the schools charge the students based on infrastructure, and the Government cannot determine the fee. Mr. Anbalagan said some of the schools charge hefty amounts, and in many States, the Government had fixed the fee for each class. The Minister said the committee would examine the standard followed by other States.
