Creditable draw for Adhiban

NEW DELHI: For the second successive round, Tamil Nadu lad B. Adhiban and Maharashtra's duo of Eesha Karavade and Vikramaditya Kamble came up with creditable draws against fancied Grandmasters in the Dubai Open chess tournament in Dubai on Tuesday.

However, R.B. Ramesh and fellow GM Tejas Bakre lost while GM-norm aspirant G.N. Gopal and WGM Aarthie Ramaswamy crashed to surprise defeats against much lower-rated rivals.

K. Humpy and S. Kidambi won to reach 2.5 points.
