Special Correspondent
PANAJI: A delegation of the Congress led by MP Shantaram Naik, which met Chief Election Commissioner N. Gopalaswami during the Goa visit of the three-member Election Commission on Tuesday, urged the Election Commission to remove the ambiguities in the provisions of code of conduct to make it more transparent. Mr. Naik told The Hindu that he had also brought to the notice of the Chief Election Commissioner that the expenditure observers deputed by the Election Commission should be acquainted with the provisions of law and they should not be contradicting each other as it happened during the last Assembly elections in Goa.
