All-round effort by Mastan

VIJAYAWADA: Commercial Department defeated Electrical TRSO by 30 runs, while Mechanical C & W XI outplayed Rajahmundry XI by 66 runs in the DRM Cup, organised by Vijayawada Division, at the Railway mini stadium here on Wednesday.

Commercial's Chinna Mastan's all-round display (34 and five for 14) was the highlight of the day.

The scores:

Commercial Department XI 136 in 30 overs (Chinna Mastan 34) bt Electrical TRSO 106 in 19.3 overs (A.V. Rao 32, Chinna Mastan five for 14).

Mechanical C & W 189 for seven in 20 overs (Samdhani 58, Srikanth 40, Venugopal three for 25) bt Rajahmundry XI 123 for seven in 20 overs. — Sports Reporter
