Nirmiti Kendras in private sector

KURNOOL: The Housing Department has proposed setting up Mandal Nirmiti Kendras (construction material production centres) in the private sector to meet the shortage of construction material for the Indiramma housing programme.

A high-level committee was constituted with the Collector as the chairman to set up the material production centres. The rising cost and shortage of material was adversely affecting the housing programme. The selection of agencies will be completed by May 10.
