MAD RUSH: Students taking a look at the SSLC results on the notice-board of the Government Girls High School in Hassan on Wednesday.
HASSAN: The pass percentage in the SSLC examination in Hassan district was 75.16. A total of 22,072 students, including 11,614 girls, appeared for the examination, of whom 16,591 passed 8,745 girls and 7,846 boys. Holenarsipur taluk came first with a pass percentage of 83.03. D.N. Sneha from Vijaya English Medium High School secured 613 marks out of 650 (98.08 per cent) and stood first in the district. Deputy Director of Public Instruction P. Padmamma said 561 students passed with distinction, 6,651 got first class, 4,744 got second class and 4,635 got third class.
Taluk-wise details
In Hassan taluk 5,084 students appeared from 92 high schools, of whom 3,973 students passed recording a pass percentage of 78.14. In Arsikere taluk 3,927 students from 78 high schools appeared, of whom 2,898 students passed with the pass percentage being 73.79. Dhanyatha G.S. from St. Mary's High School secured the highest marks, 601 (96.16 per cent), in the taluk. In Chennaraypatna taluk 3,149 students appeared for examination from 57 high schools, of whom 2,330 passed recording a pass percentage of 73.99. S.R. Bhavyasri from Ranganatha High School secured the highest marks, 577 (92.32 per cent), in the taluk. In Alur taluk, 1,205 students appeared from 21 high schools, of whom 821 passed. The pass percentage was 68.13. Md. Nadeemullah Hakeem secured 605 marks (96.80 per cent). In Belur taluk 2,352 students from 35 high schools appeared for the examination, of whom 1,541 passed, the pass percentage being 65.51. Bandhavya from Poornapragna High School secured the highest marks: 509 (94.4 per cent). In Holenarsipur taluk, 2,346 students appeared from 38 high schools, of whom 1,948 passed, recording a total pass percentage of 83.03. Khushnuma Fazal from Swarna High School secured 589 marks (94.24 per cent), the highest in the taluk. In Arakalgud taluk, 2,574 students from 41 high schools appeared, of whom 2,093 passed, with the pass percentage being 81.31. Ajay Bharadwaj from Jyothi English Medium High School secured the highest marks: 590 (94.40 per cent). In Sakleshpur taluk, 1435 students appeared from 30 high schools, of whom 987 passed for a pass percentage of 68.78.
