CHENNAI: South Australia's leadership in the field of renewable energy will be highlighted at the Second South Asia Renewable Energy Conference to be held in New Delhi this week. According to a press release from the Government of South Australia, the conference would illustrate South Australia's dedication to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through a number of initiatives, particularly with the use of solar energy. The Director for Trade and Investment for South Australia in India and South Asia, Ayub Tareen, said the proposed conference in Delhi will also promote Adelaide's role as host of the Third International Solar Cities Congress in 2008. Chairman of the Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change and Head of India's Tata Energy Research Institute, Rajendra Pachauri, will deliver the keynote address at the Adelaide Solar Cities Congress.
