KURNOOL: An irate mob ransacked the office of Wakf Board here on Wednesday. According to reports, a group of people who suspected the Wakf Board Inspector Basha to be hand in glove with a landowner, pulled down the furniture.

Earlier, the group went to an abandoned mosque at Johrapuram and asked the landowner to vacate the premises staking claim to it. On the other hand, the landowner contended that the 3.75-acre land occupied by him had nothing to do with the Wakf Board and said the property was under his control for the last 50 years.

Both sides went to the police, who advised them to collect the evidence in support of their respective claims.

Meanwhile, a group asked the Wakf Inspector to bring the records to the police station. As the Inspector did not comply with the demand, the group attacked the office.
