CHENNAI : In view of line block/power block between Ponneri and Gummidipoondi stations on the Chennai Central - Gudur section on Sunday, the following will be the pattern of train services on that day. Trains fully cancelled: MSP 9 and MSP 11 MMC - Sullurupetta locals leaving MMC at 12.35 p.m. and 1.35 p.m. respectively; MP 1 MMC - Ponneri local leaving MMC at 2.35 p.m., SG 2 Sullurupetta - Gummidipoondi special leaving Sullurupetta at 6.25 p.m., GM 18, GM 22, GM 24, GM 24 A, GM 28 and GM 30 Gummidipoondi - MMC locals leaving Gummidipoondi at 10.20 am, 11.35 a.m., 1 p.m., 1.50 p.m., 3.15 pm, and 3.40 pm respectively. Trains partially cancelled between Ennore - Gummidipoondi / Ponneri/ Sullurupetta: BMG 1 Beach - Gummidipoondi local leaving Beach at 10.05 am, MG 15, MG 17, MG 19, MG 21, and MG 23, MMC - Gummidipoondi locals leaving MMC at 11.35 a.m., 12.10 p.m., 1.10 p.m., 2.15 pm, 3.10 pm, and MSP 13 MMC - Sullurupetta local leaving MMC at 3.35 p.m. Following passenger specials will be operated between Ennore - MMC/Tiruvallur: The specials will leave at 11.20 am, 12.17 p.m., 12.47 p.m., 1.45 p.m. 3.30 p.m., and 3.57 p.m. from Ennore to MMC and at 4.15 p.m. from Ennore to Tiruvallur. Gummidipoondi - Sullurupetta passenger special will leave Gummidipoondi at 2.57 p.m. Diversion: Train no MT1 MMC - Tiruvallur local leaving MMC at 3.40 a.m. will be diverted on fast line from Villivakkam and will not stop at Korattur, Pattaravakkam, Tirumullaivoyal, Annanur, Hindu College and Pattabiram for a period of 10 days from April 27 to May 6 in view of the engineering work between Ambattur and Avadi stations on Chennai- Arakkonam section. A sum of Rs 1.30 lakh was realised by Chennai division of Southern Railway during a ticket checking drive on the Chennai Central-Tiruvallur-Arakkonam section on Tuesday and Wednesday. A total of 728 cases booked against passengers travelling without ticket, for footboard travel and unreserved passengers entering reserved compartments and second class passengers entering into first class coach. About 90 ticket checking staff and 16 Railway Protection Force personnel under the supervision of Additional Divisional Railway Manager D. Upendra Rao took part in the drive, according to a railway press release.
