ACB arrests record assistant

HYDERABAD: ACB officials on Wednesday arrested a record assistant of Rajendranagar Municipality, S. Narasimha, on charge of possessing assets worth Rs. 11.8 crores that were disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The properties were unearthed during searches conducted at his house in Shivarampally, that of his in-laws at Shaikpet and his office. Rs. 88,949, gold jewellery worth Rs. 2.3 lakhs and documents suggesting bank balances to the tune of Rs. 3.24 lakhs were seized.
