Police looking into passport fraud charge

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad police on Wednesday began an inquiry into media reports that connected names of some legislators from the State to the human trafficking case unearthed recently at Delhi.

"We have not yet registered a criminal case but are inquiring into allegations that some legislators are connected to the human trafficking case," Police Commissioner Balwinder Singh said.

The city police are keeping in touch with their counterparts in Karimnagar district to ascertain facts about the reports.

He said the police could not register any case based on media reports.
