Physically challenged persons' charge

PUDUCHERRY: The Physically Handicapped Youth Association has flayed the administration for not implementing the three per cent reservation granted to them under The Disability Act 1995 in Government organisations.

A release from the association said the quota of seats for the physically disabled had become an easy target. The Government could give "an easy burial to the special employment exchange for physically handicapped".

It also charged that the Commission for Persons with Disabilities to have become ineffective.
