NALGONDA: A doctor in a private nursing home here on Wednesday found white blood in a month-old baby and declared that, "it is one in five million cases." "The baby was born out of consanguinity and the levels of cholesterol and other elements are very high in the blood," Dr. Mohammad Zakir Hussain told The Hindu . The baby was brought to the hospital with the complaints of stomachache and vomiting. While the normal cholesterol level is 150-250 mg/dl, the reading in the baby's blood is well above 820 mg/dl. Dr. Zakir Hussain said adding that genetic mutation was the reason for the abnormality.
