Staff Reporter

NALGONDA: The temple town of Yadagirigutta, the abode of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, is gearing up for Nrusimha Jayanthi festivities to be held from April 29 to May 1.

While `Laksha kumkumarchana' would be held on April 29, `Laksha pushparchana' would be held on the next day as part of the celebrations, temple executive officer and Joint Commissioner (Endowments) Suravajhala Kondal Rao said in a press release here on Thursday. `Astottara Sata Ghatabhishekam' would be performed on the final day.

Cultural programmes would be organised for three days to mark the occasion, Mr. Rao said. While Sri Krishna Tulaabharam would be played from 8.30 p.m. on Sunday, Chindu yaksha ganam would be performed from 11 p.m. on Tuesday in addition to a series of cultural programmes.

The temple authorities called for specialists from Sri Kalahasti to take care of the flower decoration of the presiding deity.
