SHIMLA: A consumer court in Himachal Pradesh has imposed a fine of Rs. 1 lakh on Pepsi Soft Drinks Company after insects were found in one of its bottles bought by a consumer five years ago. The Himachal Pradesh Consumer Redressal Commission here directed the soft drinks major to pay the amount to the consumer after a State Government laboratory in Kandaghat termed the drink "contaminated". The consumer had bought the soft drink from a store in Dharamsala town of Kangra district in 2002 and allegedly found worms and insects in it.
