GUNTUR: The police on Thursday recovered 33 country bombs from two buckets at Mettagudipadu village in Rentachintala mandal of Guntur district which were allegedly brought to the village centre by Congress workers. The family members of G. Kotireddy and G. Bakki Reddy, the Congress workers who were done to death three days ago, were going to the Krishna river to perform some rituals and the TDP men entered the village at the same time. This created apprehensions among the Congress workers and they prepared two buckets of country bombs to be used if the Telugu Desam Party men attacked them, according to Macherla Circle-Inspector Sk. Kaleshavali.
