Sun Network to launch `Chutti TV' for children
Sun Network will launch `Chutti TV', a children's channel, on Sunday.
The 24X7 channel will be the only exclusive channel in Tamil for kids with a wide range of programmes.
The target audience for `Chutti TV' are children aged between 2 and 16, according to W. Hansraj Saxena, chief operating officer (Tamil channels), Sun Network.
Programme line-up
"We will have both international and in-house programmes. It will be a free-to-air channel ... available through cable connection".
The programmes include the world's most premium action cartoons — `The Adventures of Jackie Chan', a comic series based on the superstar, `Godzilla' series and the record-smashing popular Asian character `Astroboy'.
Learning series
It will also air `Dora the Explorer' and an interactive pre-school learning series, `Bumba Danny and Daddy'.
The in-house programmes include `Chutti Looti', `Galata Katcheri', `Chutti Challenge', and a phone-in programme `Hello Chutti', he said.
