Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Thursday arrested K. Jnaneshwar, a constable of Afzalgunj police station attached to Osmania General Hospital's morgue, on charge of accepting Rs. 500 bribe to hand over body of an alleged suicide victim to his relatives.

The body of K. Anjaiah, who allegedly committed suicide, was shifted to the morgue. When his brother K. Balakishtaiah approached the constable to receive the body after doctors conducted the post-mortem, the latter allegedly demanded the bribe, the ACB officials said in a press release.
