Mata to arrive today

Kochi: Mata Amritanandamayi Devi will reach here on Friday evening for the two-day Brahmasthanam Temple festival on Saturday and Sunday. Sooryakaladi Bhattathiripad will receive the Mata. During her visit here, the Mata will launch a free health card scheme to poor patients .

Scientific meet

Kochi: The Kochi branch of the Indian Medical Association, in association with the Kidney Club of Cochin, conducted a scientific meeting on the use of drugs and its effects on kidney functions on Wednesday. Babu Francis, Secretary of Kidney Club was the moderator. Kishore Dharan, Jose P. Paul and Binu Upendran presented papers. - Staff Reporter
