Traffic curbs along S.A. Road

KOCHI: The police have announced traffic regulation in the city from Friday night till May 3 midnight due to the pipe-laying work along Sahodaran Ayyappan Road.

The pipe-laying work will be undertaken at the junction of Kaloor-Kadavanthra Road and Sahodaran Ayyappan Road at Kadavanthra.

All buses coming from Cherthala, Eramalloor and Aroor to Kaloor Bus Stand should go to Kaloor along NH Bypass from Vyttila Junction through Palarivattom Bypass Junction.

All buses coming from Kottayam, Vaikom, Thalayolapparambu, Kolencherry, Puthenkurissu, Piravam and Ambalamedu to Kaloor should take the NH-Bypass from Vyttila Junction to reach Kaloor via Palarivattom Bypass Junction.

All vehicles going in these directions from Kaloor Bus Stand should take the Kaloor-Kadavanthra Road, turning east from near Vijaya Clinic and going via Subhash Chandra Bose Road and Convent Road Junction to reach Vyttila.

No heavy vehicles coming from the eastern side along S.A. Road would be allowed to enter the northern side from GCDA Junction. All vehicles going to Vyttila Junction from Valanjambalam, Panampilly Nagar and Manorama Junction should turn north from GCDA Junction and turn eastwards from the northside of Indira Gandhi Cooperative Hospital to reach the Kaloor-Kadavanthra Road. From there, the vehicles should turn southwards to reach Kadavanthra Junction and proceed towards Vyttila along S.A.Road.

During the period, no vehicles would be allowed to enter the S.A. Road from near the GCDA building. Vehicles that need to enter S.A. Road from GCDA should turn eastwards from the north side of Indira Gandhi Cooperative Hospital, enter Kaloor-Kadavanthra Road, and turn southwards to reach Kadavanthra Junction.

The city service buses coming along S.A. Road from Vyttila will not have any restrictions to enter the Valanjambalam direction. No vehicles will be allowed to cross S.A. Road from Girinagar area to Gandhi Nagar.
