Chief Ministers to meet

NEW DELHI: Union Water Resources Minister Saifuddin Soz has decided to convene a meeting of the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra to explore the possibility of arriving at an amicable solution to the differences between the two States over the construction of the Babli Barrage Project.

This was disclosed to a delegation of Andhra Pradesh members of Parliament who met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday to seek his intervention in putting an immediate stop to construction work on the project.
