Re-auctioning ordered

BANGALORE:
Three blocks of land that did not fetch the expected price in the auction of government land on Wednesday will be re-auctioned.
Bangalore Urban District Deputy Commissioner M.A. Sadiq told The Hindu that he had ordered re-auctioning of three blocks including 33.30 acres in Yelachiguppe and 30 acres in Muddaiahnapalya. "We did not get the right price for the land and they will be re-auctioned in the next batch after giving wide publicity," he said.
While 33.20 acres in Yelachiguppe fetched a mere Rs. 2 crore, 30 acres in Muddaiahnapalya fetched Rs. 1.5 crore in the auction on Wednesday.
