IFC to invest $20 million in Kanoria Chemicals

CHENNAI : IFC, the private arm of the World Bank Group, will invest up to $20 million in Kanoria Chemicals and Industries to help the company expand the capacity of its caustic soda pant in Renukoot, Uttar Pradesh. The expansion from 90,00 to 130,000 tonnes per year by March 2008 will be based on more efficient and environment-friendly membrane cell technology.
