GULBARGA: The Delimitation Commission, which is going into the question of delimitation of Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies in the country, would hold a full-fledged sitting in Gulbarga on Sunday to hear views of the general public and elected representatives and political parties on its proposal made through a notification. A press release issued here on Friday said that the commission would hear pleas from the general public and political parties and elected representatives to the delimitation of constituencies pertaining to Gulbarga, Raichur, Bellary, Koppal and Bidar districts in the Gulbarga revenue division. The sitting would be chaired by commission chairman Kuldip Singh and its members, including Deputy Election Commissioner N. Gopalaswamy, Secretary M. Sarangi, Shankar Ram, N.K. Goel, Sumeet Mukherjee, S.K. Mishra, V.D. Arora, R. Ramashesan, State Election Commissioner M.R. Hegde, H.S. Udayshankar. Its associate members, including former Prime Minister and MP H.D. Deve Gowda, BJP National Parliamentary Board Secretary and MP H.N. Ananth Kumar, MP Ramesh Jigajinagi, former Minister Basanagowda R. Patil, Revenue Minister Jagdish Shettar, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president and MLA M. Mallikarjun Kharge, MLA Krishna, former Minister and MLA P.G.R. Sindhia, and MLA Veerbasantreddy Mudnal, would participate. The commission would hold the sitting at the Institute of Engineers Auditorium and would hear the pleas pertaining to the delimitation of the constituencies in Koppal, Bellary, Koppal, Raichur from 10 a.m. on that day.
