Kolkata:
The Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta, has officially released the final call letters without the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category as per the directive of the Human Resource Development Ministry for commencing its current year's MBA course.
Official sources at IIM-C said that offers have been made to 490 successful candidates for filling the 300 seats, including general category, SC and ST and physically-challenged candidates, for the 2007-2009 batch of the post-graduate programme in management.
The post-graduate programme runs through two courses called the post-graduate diploma in management and post-graduate diploma in computer-aided management. An additional capacity of 18 would have been needed to pave the way for a 27 per cent reservation for OBC.
