Yuki to spearhead Indian challenge

NEW DELHI: Yuki Bhambri will spearhead the Indian challenge in the junior Davis Cup Asia-Oceania under-16 tennis tournament to be held in Bangkok from Monday.

Christopher Marquis and Ronak Manuja will be the other members of the squad that will have coach Arun Kumar as the captain.

Venkat Iyer was originally selected but had to be dropped as he could not take a physical fitness test on time, after he had expressed his inability to attend the preparatory camp with a strained back.

Ronak Manuja, the reserve, was drafted in his place.

Meanwhile, Tanvi Shah, Kyra Shroff and V. Archana have been selected for the junior Fed Cup to be played at Kuala Lumpur from May 7.

Coach Shalini Thakur will be the captain with the team.
