Harikumar hits century

KOCHI: Harikumar's unbeaten century (102 off 81 balls, 11x4, 1x6) helped MYCA, Mattancherry, defeat Pioneers CC (Cherpu) by 56 runs and enter the second round of the 26th Coromandel Cement all-Kerala cricket tournament at the Nehru Stadium here on Friday.

The scores: MYCA, Mattacherry 213 for two in 25 overs (Harikumar 102 n.o., S.Suresh 59) bt Pioneers, Cherpu 157 for five in 25 overs (G. Prabhu 53).

Muthoot ECC `B', Ernakulam 203 for nine in 30 overs (Geethish 72, Abdul Samath 59) bt Kannur United 124 in 28.4 overs (Vijesh 44).
