MANGALORE: The Mangalore South (Pandeshwar) Police Station has detected three more cases of theft based on confession given by those arrested in connection with the theft at Sri Muneeshwara Mahaganapathy temple at Police Lane on March 1. A press release from B. Dayananda, Superintendent of Police, here on Thursday stated that 248 grams of gold jewellery worth Rs. 2.23 lakh was recovered from the accused in these cases. They had earlier recovered 12 kg of silver worth Rs. 2.60 lakh stolen by Hasim and two other accomplices from the temple.
