GUNTUR: A mild tension prevailed at the Guntur General Hospital, when the relatives of a deceased had a scuffle with the hospital staff, alleging negligence in treatment. Hospital in charge superintendent Phani Bhushan pacified the relatives after assuring them those held responsible for the delay in treatment would be punished. According to the police, B. Brahamayya (25), a student from Guntur, suffered serious injuries when he fell on the platform, while alighting from a train at Narasaraopet on Friday morning. He was rushed to the Government General Hospital here, where he succumbed to his injuries. Relatives alleged that the concerned hospital authorities had failed to give proper treatment resulting in the patient's death. This led to heated altercation between them and the hospital staff.
