Online cricket game launched

Special Correspondent

Bangalore: OK, the World Cup is over and the winners and losers are packing their bags (or trophies) at this very moment.

If you are one of those suffering from `withdrawal symptoms' after so many weeks of the cricket fest — there's a cure on the Web.

Flash animation

Cricinfo, the Wisden group's India-based Cricket resource creator has just launched an online game using Flash animation, where you can pit two teams against each other, set the number of overs, the shots used and a variety of other match conditions — and see what happens.

Right now it is a game for one player — but with over 10,000 already playing, Cricinfo is working hard to make it multiplayer. (http://slogout.cricinfo.com/)

Also unveiled this week is a Cricket Quiz game with Crorepati-style multiple options. You can play five rounds (or innings) and have five chances to make a mistake (or five wickets). (http://quiz.cricinfo.com/)
