`Respond to problems of disabled'

HASSAN: Headquarters Assistant to the Deputy Commissioner K.P. Honakeri advised officers to ensure that people with disabilities get all assistance from Government and that they respond to their needs.

Presiding over the District Physically Challenged Management Committee meeting in Hassan on Saturday, he said applications from people with disabilities should be given priority.

District Welfare officer for physically challenged said that through Education Department, tricycles were provided to 22 children, wheelchair to 78 children, surgical shoes to 69 children, hearing aids to 378 children and spectacles to 115 children.
