BANGALORE: Makeup Art Cosmetics, popularly known as M.A.C., set up shop in the city on Friday. The company, whose spokespersons have included the splendidly coiffed Boy George and Elton John, is opening its makeup box for Indians now. Its previous hotspots being fashion capitals such as New York, Paris and Milan, one might wonder, why Bangalore? s"Because, Bangalore is ready for us," said Alexis Szabo, Regional Director of M.A.C. Vimi Joshi, senior makeup artist with M.A.C., paraded four models who represented four international trends. Pointing to one, she said, "I created the Barbie look, especially for fashion guru Prasad Bidapa, because he was saying there aren't enough Barbies in town." She added, "Barbie loves M.A.C."
