Man held for cheating

CHENNAI: The Central Crime Branch on Friday arrested V. Muruganandham (35) of Abhiramapuram on charges of cheating. Muruganandham had contacted S.B. Thomas of Shenoy Nagar, saying he wanted to sell a property. Daniel Prabakaran had given a property document to Muruganandham. Using it, Muruganandham brought somebody to Mr. Thomas and introduced him as Daniel Prabakaran.

The man told Mr. Thomas that he was the property owner and fixed the price at Rs. 30 lakh. He took an advance by a cheque and a draft in favour of Daniel Prabakaran.
