Special programme

All India Radio will broadcast a special programme on D.V. Gundappa — Kannadada Kanmanigalu — at 8.35 a.m. on Sunday. G.S. Siddalingaiah, president of Kannada Book Authority, will present the programme.

Property recovered

The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has recovered two acres of its prime property in BTM 1st Stage, 1st Phase, close to Ring Road. The Bank Officers' Cooperative Housing Society, a BDA approved private layout, was formed on 30 acres of land, a bulk land allotted by BDA in survey number 12 and 14 of Tavarekere village. The area earmarked for a park had been encroached and the authority has now recovered it.

Date extended

The last date for the payment of examination fees for postgraduate and undergraduate examinations of Bangalore University has been extended up to May 9 with special fine of Rs. 500 with usual fee and fine. There will not be any further extension, an official release said.
