SALEM: A woman killed her two-and-half-year-old girl child before committing suicide in Omalur on Tuesday. Police said Mary Kavitha (35) of R.C. Chettipatti killed her child Dania Mary before hanging herself in her house.
Jewellery snatched
Two unidentified men snatched a 10-soverign gold chain from a woman in Gugai on Monday. Police said Lakshmi (33) of were riding the pillion of a moped, when the men, who came in a motorcycle, snatched the chain and escaped.
10 injured
Ten passengers of a State Transport Corporation bus sustained injuries when the vehicle overturned at Ariyagoundanur near here on Tuesday. Police said that the bus proceeding to Coimbatore from Salem.
