Airtel launches new plan for prepaid subscribers

Bangalore: Mobile service provider, Airtel, has launched "Airtel Recharge 199" for new prepaid customers, applicable for a limited period.

An Airtel release said that to enjoy the benefits of full talk time with year-long validity, a customer should buy a new Airtel connection and recharge for Rs. 199. All local calls are charged Rs. 1.99 a minute while STD calls are charged Rs. 2.99 a minute.

Cost-effective

V. Venaktesh, CEO, Mobile Services, Airtel Ltd, Karnataka, said, "the cost to stay mobile with an extended validity of Rs. 15 a month was ideal for those making fewer calls and who are looking only for longer validity."
