New uniforms for Indian airhostesses

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Airhostesses onboard flights of national carrier Indian will sport brand new uniforms from Wednesday. The crew for flights from Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore will be attired in crepe and silk saris in the vibrant house colours of orange and blue.

Highlight

The highlight of the design is the wheel motif blending softly into the rest of the design. The chakra, taking its origin from the Sun Temple at Konark, features in the new livery of all Indian aircraft, an official release has said.

The change in attire is in keeping with Indian's tradition of going in for a new uniform every two years, with the idea of lending freshness to it and to the cabin ambience.
