NEW DELHI: The Indian shooters fared miserably in the women's sports pistol event, not their strong event, in the ongoing shooting World Cup at Sydney on Tuesday. Annu Raj Singh shot a 570 out of 600, with identical scores of 285 in the precision and rapidfire series, to take the 26th slot. Shweta Chaudhary was 31st with a 568, as she followed up a 290 in precision with a 278 in the rapidfire series. Sonia Rai struggled in the rapidfire section with a 256 out of 300 and finished penultimate in the 50-shooter field. The results: Women's 25m pistol: 1. Chen Ying (Chn) 791.4 (585); 2. Michiko Fukushima (Jpn) 785.7 (584); 3. Lenka Maruskova (Cze) 784.8 (582); 26. Annu Raj Singh 570; 31. Shweta Chaudhary 568; 49. Sonia Rai 539.
