ALAPPUZHA: The suicide of a visually challenged man at Pallipadu, near here, in the last week of April is snowballing into a controversy with the Kerala Federation of the Blind (KFB) alleging that he was driven to the extreme act by a bank that he had approached for a loan. Thirty-five-year-old C. Ramdas was found in a serious condition at his home on April 26, after allegedly consuming poison. Though he was rushed to the hospital, he died. Now, a suicide note that Ramdas had left behind is pointing fingers towards disparaging remarks made by the manager of the bank, which Ramdas had been approaching for a loan of Rs.1.20 lakh.
