Patna: The headless body of a trader, who had gone missing from here on Monday evening, was recovered and identified by his family members, while the body of a missing child has been found in Jehanabad. Rajesh Kumar, a dealer in old two-wheelers, was suspected to have been kidnapped from Shastrinagar locality and a torso recovered from Jamal road area, Superintendent of Police (City) Anwar Hussain said. The torso was identified as that of the missing trader on Tuesday by his family members from his clothes and other belongings, the SP told PTI.
A police constable Pramod Kumar was arrested after
Pramod, posted at the police lines, had reportedly contacted the trader on Monday for selling his old motorcycle and claimed he had dropped Rajesh at Hartali Chowk here after negotiating the deal.
However, when the trader did not return to his Gola Road residence, his family filed a complaint against the constable naming him a suspect in the `kidnapping'.
Meanwhile, the body of a three-year-old child, who had gone missing three days ago from a village in Jehanabad district, was recovered on Tuesday evening from the family barn.
