HYDERABAD : Seven persons were killed and 85 injured in three separate road accidents in the State on Tuesday. Three persons were killed and six others sustained injuries when a tourist bus and lorry collided head-on near Gandlaguda in Yacharam in the wee hours. While lorry cleaner Mohan (20) died on the spot, bus driver Sri Hari Prasad (25) succumbed to injuries at Osmania General Hospital and a bus passenger Chinna (35) died on the way to the hospital. Two persons were killed and 60 others of a marriage party injured in a road accident at Sarvarpur in Gandari mandal of Nizamabad district when a van in which they were travelling overturned at 11.30 a.m. The victims were identified as Bhupalli Gouthami (13) and Bhupalli Bhumavva (48). Eighteen of the injured were shifted to Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad and the rest were admitted to Kamareddy hospital, according to Somnath, SI.
Bus overturns
Two persons were killed and 19 were injured when an Ongole-bound private bus overturned at Adigoppula in Durgi mandal of Guntur district. The accident occurred when the bus driver failed to negotiate a curve on a low-level bridge. Among the injured was Ongole town Assistant SI K. Subba Rao.
