HASSAN: The district administration has prepared a Rs. 16.05-crore action plan for drinking water supply in villages facing crisis. Deputy Commissioner K.H. Aswathanarayana Gowda told The Hindu here on Tuesday that the proposal was with the Government and it would be implemented it was approved. The action plan has been based on the report of tahsildars. It includes deepening and flushing of 823 borewells (Rs 2.5 crore); rejuvenation of 545 drinking water supply schemes (Rs. 11.35 crore) and drilling of 390 bore wells (Rs. 1.94 crore). The taluk-wise plan is as follows: Alur Rs. 27 lakh for flushing of 70 borewells; Rs. 1.44 crore for rejuvenating 58 drinking water supply schemes: and Rs. 40.95 lakh for drilling 91 borewells; Arakalagudu Rs. 18 lakh for flushing of 37 borewells; and Rs 74.6 lakh for rejunuvating 79 drinking water supply schemes; Arsikere Rs. 56.7 lakh for deepening and flushing of 131 borewells; Rs. 68.8 lakh for rejuvenating 54 drinking water supply schemes and Rs. 80.4 lakh for drilling 134 borewells; Chennaraypatna Rs. 49.78 lakh for deepening and flushing of 131 borewells and Rs. 37.65 lakh for rejuvenating 78 drinking water supply schemes; Holenarsipur Rs. 56.7 lakh for deepening and flushing of 126 borewells and Rs. 2.95 crore for rejuvenating 56 drinking water supply schemes; Belur Rs. 25 lakh for flushing of 175 bore wells; Rs. 2.28 crore for rejuvenating 120 drinking water supply schemes and Rs. 31.35 lakh for to drilling 102 borewells; Hassan Rs. 72 lakh for rejuvenating 40 drinking water supply schemes and Rs. 9.65 lakh for drilling 9 borewells; Sakleshpur Rs. 15.53 lakh for deepening of 153 borewells; Rs. 2.14 crore for rejuvenating 60 drinking water supply schemes and Rs. 32.5 lakh for drilling 54 borewells.
