Chief Minister to visit Belur on May 6

HASSAN: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy will visit Belur in Hassan taluk on May 6 and launch works worth Rs. 100 crore.

Minister for Women and Child Development H.K. Kumaraswamy said in Belur on Monday said that this would be the Chief Minister's first visit to Belur since he assumed office.

The Chief Minister, who will arrive at 1.30 p.m., will first visit the Chennakeshava temple. He will then inaugurate a bridge constructed across Yagachi at a cost of Rs. 4.5 crore.

He will also inaugurate a municipal shopping complex; taluk panchayat building; Samartha Soudha; Belur-Hassan road: girls' hostel for Scheduled Castes in Halebeedu; police quarters in Arehalli; VIP Inspection Bungalow; Primary Health Centre building in Bikkodu: Honnemane bridge and roads.

The Chief Minister will lay foundation for Rs. 3-crore Morarji Desai residential School in Belur; Rs. 15-lakh Ambedkar Sabhangan; a stadium; a hotel, and launch works under the Suvarna Grama scheme. He will also attend a public function.
